- Description: Groaner style wood works clock, made in Bristol, Ct. Gold leaf stenciled half columns and splat in excellent original condition. Spectacular original painted dial showing almost no wear. Inside paper label is 80% intact. Reverse glass painting has been professionally repainted by Lee Davis of York, PA. 30-hour Groaner movement with hourly bell strike in perfect working condition, used daily. Original weights and pendulum. A fine example of an early American wooden movement shelf clock. Would be complimented by displaying it on a vintage wall mounted shelf, such as the one it is on, which is listed separately.
